up nostalgic holiday memories! So why not join our special train direct to Devon from the convenience of
your local station. The coaches date from the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. We take the Greater Manchester 'ghost line' through Denton station,
the first of several routes rarely used by passenger trains. (Denton station is 'famous' for being served by one train
a week in one direction only)We then travel over the Cheshire Plain, and then take the 'Crewe Independents' the freight routes' that avoid Crewe station. Its then down through Stafford and then its more rarely used 'freight
track' via Walsall, the beautiful run through Sutton Park to Castle Bromwich and the 'Camp Hill'
line avoiding Birmingham to aarive in Worcestershire and the ascent of the notorious Lickey Incline. Our route continues
with views over to the Cotswolds as we pass through Cheltenham Spa and Gloucester, through Bristol to Somerset and
the West Country. Choose from 3 destinations: Exeter – for a break of over 5 hours – a popular tourist destination, with its revitalised quayside and great pedestrianised shopping centre. Exeter abounds
with heritage attractions, the majestic gothic cathedral, the Guildhall, The Royal Albert Museum and the city’s
medieval underground passages! Or stay on board for the journey top those great seaside destinations of Dawlish (break
of 4 hours) or Paignton (break of 3.5 hours), and the famous ride through the red sandstone cliffs. Helpful information

Our favourite fish &
chip shop: Carlo's Catch, Nottingham Road, Spondon Travelling the rail network for 21 years, a good hot meal is really
welcomed after a hard days work. Spondon has a railway station, but few trains stop there. Yet for years the Green
Express has started its heritage trains at this small station 3 miles from Derby. It may be an unusual
place to start a 12 coach Charter Train from, but you can see why when you've sampled the fish & chips!

The
friendly staff at Carlo's Catch, Nottingham Rd, Spondon.
